The notification for the Engineering Service Examination is usually published 3-4 months prior to the commencement of the examination but till now, there is no official confirmation regarding the same.

The Engineering Service Examination 2012 has been scheduled from 15.06.2012.

In order to keep yourself updated, refer to the official website of Union Public Service Commission as well as India's major Newspapers including the Employment News.

IES Stands for Indian Engineering Service examination and this examination is conducted by Union Public Service Commission Once in a year.

The eligible Engineering streams are-Civil Engineering , Mechanical Engineering , Electrical Engineering and Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering

OR

If you have M.Sc degree in Physics , Radio Physics then you are applicable for IES exam.Final year student also eligible for IES exam .

You have completed B-Tech degree in ECE so you are applicable for IES Exam .

Age limit:-

For Open category:- 21-30 year
For OBC category:- 21-33 year
For ST/SC category:- 21-37 year

Number of Attempts:-

For open category:- 4 attempts
For ST/SC category:- 9 attempts
For OBC category:- 7 attempts

IES Exam Date:-

IES 2013 Notification: 16th March 2013
Last Date For Receipt of IES 2013 Applications: 15th April 2013
IES 2013 Exam DATE: 28th June 2013

The acronym for IES is Indian Engineering Services.

IES examination is conducted by UPSC every year.

Syllabus for IES(Electronics and Telecommunication) is mentioned as below:-

* Materials and Components.

* Physical electronics, Electron devices and ICs.

* Signals and Systems.

* Network Theory.

* Electromagnetic Theory.

* Electronic measurements and Instrumentation.

The eligibility criteria required for IES examination are prescribed as below:-

* Completion of engineering degree in any one of these streams:-
1. Civil Engineering.
2. Mechanical Engineering.
3. Electrical Engineering.
4. Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering.

* Completion of post-graduation in Wireless Communication, Electronics, Radio Physics or Radio Engineering as a special subject.

* Final year contendors are also eligible.

* Age limit- 21-30 yrs.

* Age relaxation- 3 yrs for OBC and 5 yrs for SC/ST contendors.

* Nationality- Indian.

* No. of attempts- 4 for General, 7 for OBC and 9 for SC/ST contendors.

Date of notification of IES(Electronics and Telecommunication) entrance examination is mentioned as below:-

* 16th March,2013- IES notification date.

* 15th April,2013- Last date for receipt of IES application.

* 28th June,2013- IES examination date.

If you have completed your Bechelor Degree you can apply for IES exam..

Final year student also eligible for IES exam ..

Age Limit :- 21-30 yrs.. OBC :- 21-33 SC/ST :- 21-35..
