Please provide me the detail about calculating cutoff mark so as to get engineering counseling admission - anna university, chennai - 2011 (Maths, Physics and chemistry)

Hello,
For calculating cut off the three subjects physics, chemistry and maths are considered. The average of these three subjects is your cut off out of 200. When you apply for the counselling along with your marks sheet received. A post with your cut off, ranking and the date of counselling will be sent to your address by the authorities.

you didnt mention under which category you are coming whether oc,bc,mbc,sc,st.
go to anna university website and see the collages available for this cutoff mark last year.This will help you to find which type of collage you can get in the counselling.
You should also follow the counselling happening through the website of anna university.

For Calculating cutoff mark
U need to divide ur MATHS marks by 2, PHYSICS marks by 4, CHEMISTRY marks by 4. and add them all. Thats your cutoff out of 200.

If there is any change in your marks, your latest mark will be sent to anna university by the tamil nadu education director. Only after the revaluation results are relieved, Anna university will prepare the counselling schedule. So don't worry about the counselling date.

I am very sorry to say that you doesn't have any chance to get a ECE seat in Anna University. But can get ECE seat in colleges under Anna University.
