Every engineering course is offered after the 12th class and the candidates who have passed 12th class from science stream with Physics and Mathematics can apply for the courses. Candidates have to qualify the written exam to get the admission in engineering courses and the scope of engineering is very wide as every stream has its own importance because a candidate of architecture can not work in aeronautical field he or she can only work in architecture. After qualifying the course you can work with the companies that are working in the field you are graduate.

First to get the admission in engineering need to qualify the written of-

JEE MAIN

JEE advanced

Engineering courses that are in trend now are-

>> Architecture engineering

>> Civil engineering

>> Mechanical engineering

>> Computer engineering

>> Food technology

>> Foot wear technology

>> Software engineering

>> Chemical engineering

>> petroleum engineering

>> Marine engineering

>> Printing technology

>> Information technology

>> Electronics engineering

>> Electronics and communication engineering

It is good that you are pursuing your 2nd year of PUC and thinking of higher studies.

Yes Engineering is a very good choice for you as you are pursuing your PUC with Mathematics and Physics subjects.

There will be number of streams in Engineering like
-Civil Engineering
-Mechanical Engineering
-Electrical Engineering
-Electronics and Computer Science Engineering
-Computer Science Engineering
-Information Technology
-Aeronautical Engineering
-Chemical Engineering etc.

You need to crack Entrance Exam in order to get admission for this course.

There will be state level Entrance Exams like
-EAMCET - for Andhra Pradesh
-KEA CET - for Karnataka
-KEAM CEE - for Kerala etc
and national wide entrance exams like
-AIEEE
-BITS PILANI
-IIT-JEE
-VITEEE

My suggestion would be start preparation for national wide Entrance Exams from now itself and get good rank in the Entrance Exam so that you will be given admission in top colleges of India.

As you are very much interested in Aeronautics, you can opt for Aeronautical Engineering so that you can put good efforts towards understanding the subject and improving your skills in this area.

Many of the people will not decide upon of what course to join and their areas of interest and they simply join some course as parents told or friends suggested. I appreciate you in this point.

You don't need to worry about the career scope in Aeronautics. There is excellent scope in this area and there will be good number of job opportunities. Experts are lacking in this field. You will definitely get a good job with nice salary.

Engineering course can be done after successfully completion of class 12th.For doing the Engineering course you have to do basically B.E. or B.tech course.

To be eligible for the B.E. or B.tech course, it is necessary go have a successfully passed 12th course from the PCM background with good percentages.

Engineering has very good scope in future in our country vas well as in abroad. You have to first choose a branch then you can further go ahead in it.
