Adaptive maintenance is a modification of a software product performed after delivery to keep a software product usable in a changed or changing environment.


Corrective maintenance is concerned with fixing errors that are observed when the software is in use.

Corrective maintenance is repairing design and Programming errors whereas adaptive maintenance is modifying a system in response to environmental changes.

File processing is the storing and organizing informative computer files and data so that they can be easily accessible whenever required.They can be stored in hard disks or CD-ROM or any physical location of the files. On the other hand Database is a collection of data that are stored and can be retrieved electronically from a computer system whenever required.
