Does a college have right to cancel admission?

I have 1 backlog in Diploma and I got Lateral Entry in B.TECH college. When my result came for Diploma I got again back. So, college cancelled my admission. It this legal or not? Do they have right to cancel my admission?

Yes, college can cancel your admission. Admission for candidates pursuing in the final year of the minimum required qualification to pursue a course is made on provisional basis.

So, if you have not cleared the backlog before the last date of submission of the certificate, your admission will be cancelled.
Do you have any question? or have anything to say?
