Re: Eligibility for AFCAT for 6th semester B.Tech(IT) student?
You can apply for this test only when you reach the final year of engineering. Make sure that you secure at least 60% marks. You have options like joining for the flying or technical or the ground duty branch. For each of these you will need to clear the entrance exam. Also clearing the fitness test thereafter is a must.

Re: Eligibility for AFCAT for 6th semester B.Tech(IT) student?
Let me tell you you have to first clear your final year to apply for any branch
You can find the details advertisement also in their official site http://careerairforce.nic.in/applicaton_forms/Unified%20Selection%20System/Men.htm Also Let me tell you that in Air Force Common Admission Test they have 3 types of branches where they look for new recruits, 1) Flying BranchFor this your age should be 19 to 23 years, and you should have three years degree course in any discipline from a recognized university with 60% marks Also note that you should have some physical standards as well like your minimum height shall be 162.5 cms with correlated weight and leg length in the range of 99 cms (minimum) 2) Technical BranchFor this your age should be in between 18 to 28 years, and you should have a four year degree with minimum 60% marks, they need two specific type of engineers for this
And for all this branches they have only one physical standard that is your height should be 157.5 Cms with corrected weight 3) Now for Ground Duty they have four separate branches,
hope this will help you to understand that you need to first clear you final semister to enable you to join AFCAT. |
