Re: Eligibility and application procedure of CSAT?
The preparation for IAS exam should start in a focused manner at 20 – 21 years of age. This is the time student is able to focus on the goal properly and is in a position to peak at the right time. Starting too early (immediately after school or early graduation) has the likelihood of aspirant tiring during the course of preparation or loosing focus mid way whereas starting too late has disadvantage in terms of competitive edge of early start.

Re: Eligibility and application procedure of CSAT?
Yes who have passed the graduation all are eligible.CSAT is just an replacement of prilimaniry examination.I am giving details here.
For candidates who clear the preliminary round, there is the main round. The UPSC will push for changes in the Civil Service (Mains) Examination depending on the response to the new format. The preliminary exam has two papers — the first is gen*eral studies and is common for all; candidates can choose the second paper from a list of about two dozen subjects. The general studies paper may be tweaked, but it is the second paper that will undergo the big change. CSAT Syllabus Paper I Total Marks: 200 Duration : 2 Hours Current events of national and international importance History of India and Indian national movement Indian and World Geography- physical, social, economic geography of India and the world Indian Polity and governance – constitution, political system, panchayati raj, public policy, Rights issues, etc. Economic and social development – sustainable development, poverty, inclusion, demographics, social sector initiatives etc. General issues on environmental ecology, bio-diversity and climate change-that donot require subject specialization General science. Paper II Total Marks: 200 Duration : 2 Hours Comprehension Interpersonal skills including communication skills Logical reasoning and analytical ability Decision making and problem solving General mental ability Basic numeracy (numbers and their relations, orders of magnitude etc. (Class X level), Data interpretation (charts, graphs, tables, data sufficiency etc. –Class X level) English language comprehension skills (Class X level) All the best. |
