No, you are not eligible to apply for CDS examination being a 17 years old B.Com (H) 1st semester student. To be eligible to apply for CDS examination, you should have passed Bachelor's degree course in any discipline from a Government recognised university and you should be at least 19 years old and not more than 24 years of age. So, being a 17 years old candidate without Bachelor's degree, you are not eligible to apply for CDS examination

CDS refers to Combined Defense Services and for appearing in CDS examination, the minimum education required is a bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognized university. Students pursuing final year of their degree course are eligible.

So, being a student of first year of B.Com degree course, you are not eligible to apply for CDS entrance examination at this stage.

But, as you are 17 years old and Class 12th passed candidate, you can look for the option of NDA ( National Defense Academy ) to join Indian Defense Services.

For more details regarding CDS or NDA entrance examination, you can refer to the link www.upsc.gov.in.
