Indian Administrative Service (IAS) exam is conducted by UPSC in every year.
IAS officer job is the one of the best job of India. The eligibility criteria for IAS exam is given below: Educational Qualification : The minimum educational qualification for the appearing in the IAS exam is graduation in any stream from a recognize university. The final year graduation student are also eligible for IAS exam. Age Limits : The age must be between 21 to 30 years at the time of appearing of IAS exam. For IAS, one need to go through a civil services examination conducted by UPSC (Union Public Service Commission) every year.
The eligibility criteria for this exam is as follows : Academic qualification : One should be a graduate from a recognized university. Age criteria : One should be in the age group of 21-30 years (for General) 21-33 years for OBC candidates (Relaxation upto 3 years) 21-35 years for SC/ST ( Relaxation upto 5 years ) Number of attempts : Maximum of 4 times (for General) Maximum of 7 times (for OBC) No limit for SC/ST The selection procedure will be by 1)CSAT - Civil Services Aptitude Test 2)Main examination 3)Interview. |

To apply for IAS you need the following criteria:
Educational criteria: The only educational criteria is a graduate degree in any field/stream from any recognized university. Age limit: should be between 21 years and 30 years. Age relaxation is 3 years for OBC, 5 years for SC/ST. |

its great to hear that you have made your choice to appear for civil services.your requirements are: 1.YOU need to give UPSC held Civil Services Examination which is a common examination for getting into IAS. You should make yourself very well acquainted with the examination pattern and the sample questions so that you can prepare accordingly and prepare yourself mentally. 2.Only Indian nationals are eligible for IAS . 3.AGE LIMITS A. CANDIDATE must have attained 21 years and not be over 30 years (FOR GENERAL) B.(ii). The upper age limit is relaxed in specific cases as mentioned blow: upto a maximum of 5 years if the candidate belongs to SC/ST. upto a maximum of 3 years if the candidate belongs to Other Backward Classes. upto a maximum of 5 years if the candidate had been domiciled in Jammu & Kashmir during the period between January 1, 1980 and December 31, 1989. upto a maximum of 3 years in the case of Defense Services personnel disabled during hostilities with foreign countries or in a disturbed area and consequently released. IAS stands for Indian Administrative Service and the exam are conducted by UPSC once in a year. The eligibility criteria for this are as following:- QUALIFICATION:- Candidate must be graduated from any stream. AGE LIMIT:- Candidate age limit must be from 21-30 years.further relaxation is provided for SC/ST for 5 years and OBC for 3 years on maximum age limit. IAS Eligibility criteria :
Age limits : The candidate must have attained the age of 21 yrs and must not attained the age of 30 yrs on 1st Aug,2011.(i.e The candidate must have been born not earlier than 2nd Aug,1981 and not later than 1st Aug,1990). The upper age limit will be relaxed by 3 yrs for OBC candidates and 5 yrs for SC/ST candidates. ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR IAS EXAM:
Academic Eligibility for IAS Exams: o A degree of any of the Universities or an equivalent qualification. o Candidates who are awaiting results are also eligible to appear for the Preliminary Examination. All such candidates who qualify to appear for the Civil Services Main Examination must produce proof of having passed the said examination along with their application for the Main Examination. o Candidates with professional and technical qualifications recognised by the Government as equivalent to professional and technical degrees. Nationality: Only Indian nationals are eligible for IAS. Age Limit: i. A candidate must have attained 21 years and not be over 30 years on August 1 of the year of examination. ii.
