For any category of disability(like locomotor, visual, dyslexia, speech, or hearing) you will get benefits relating to this. In norms, you will get a 3% seats relaxations in JEE exam. Since your percentage is over 55% hence you can definitly sit in this exam. |

Re: Eligibility Criteria of IIT JEE?
yes dear you could surely participate in the reputed exam.
first tell what is the handicapped portion or the type then only i can suggest nicely.well, i have put up a general information here for your use. For PD, including leprosy-cured candidates, who are otherwise fit to pursue the course, and qualify JEE with relaxed norms relevant to this category, 3% seats are reserved in each of the categories (namely, GE, OBC, SC, & ST) as specified by the Government of India. In case all the reserved seats are not filled, a limited number of candidates are admitted to a Preparatory Course of one-year duration on the basis of a further relaxation. For any category of disability (viz., locomotor, visual, speech, and/or hearing) benefit would be given to those who have at least 40% physical impairment. The candidates in this category will be required to be certified by a medical board constituted by IIT during counselling. The decision of medical board will be final and binding. i think this must be sufficient. but,do contact for any further help. good luck my friend !!! |
