Please tell me the eligibility for polytechnic course. I am in class 10th.Any entrance exam required.

You have to qualify in the Diploma Entrance Test (DET) exam to pursue the polytechnic course.But some institutes directly intake students.

For Polytechnic course minimum eligibility criteria is 10 th standard and minimum percentage criteria is 50 % but for entry in Polytechnic course you have to fight for PPT i.e. Pre Polytechnic Test held in each state.

In PPT ( Pre Polytechnic Test ) exam following subjects are asked such as: -
1. Upto 10th standard Maths 2. Science 3. Geography 4. History 5. General Knowledge.

After PPT Exam you have scored some percentage and on the basis of percentage you will be called for councelling & through councelling you will get better colleges and you take admission.

yes you have to qualify entrance exam of polytechnic.

if u want to go for poly.......u can do so by clearing PPT(Pre polytechnic) after 10th......further u can go for B.E. through lateral entry....

out of west bengal colleges go for there own tests.
