Eligibility to get into Officers Training Academy (OTA)?
What is the minimum educational qualification required to apply for Officers Training Academy (OTA)? I have passed my Intermediate with Arts stream. Am I eligible for OTA with Arts?

To join OTA, you have to appear and qualify in CDS examination.
The minimum required qualification to appear for the examination is that candidate must have passed bachelor degree from a recognised university. The age limit is 19-24 years. The examination is conducted in two stages and you have to appear and qualify in both stages for final selection. For more information visit at www.upsc.gov.in. |

Eligibility criteria for OTA
Candidate must have completed graduation or engineering from a recognised University. Candidates who are appearing in the final year of graduation or engineering can also apply for the UPSC exams. Age limit for the UPSC exams is 19 to 25 years. |

OTA refers to Officer's Training Academy and to join the same one is required to qualify the CDS entrance examination held by UPSC twice every year.
Further, the minimum education required to apply for appearing in CDS entrance examination to join OTA are as below :- * You must hold the nationality of Indian. * Your age need to lie within 20 years to 25 years. * You must have completed your degree course in any discipline from a recognised university. Students pursuing final year of their bachelor's degree course are also eligible. * You must hold the physical fitness as per the service requirement norms. So, having completed your graduation degree course in arts stream, you are eligible to join OTA provided you satisfy other eligibility conditions too. You need to crack CDSE exam .You should have completed Graduation degree in any stream from recognized University. Age limit 19-25

One should have to clear CDS exam to get into OTA. CDS exam is held twice a year by UPSC. Thus, one should have Bachelors degree in any course can apply for the examination.
this exam has two stages that is written exam and SSB. |
