Respected Sir/Madam, I am studying in Diploma with Mechanical Engineering course. I want to do BE through lateral entry in any reputed college of West Bengal. Kindly let me know that which entrance exam I have to appear?

In West Bengal State, Lateral entry admission to 2nd year of degree engineering is given based on merit rank which is prepared on the basis of entrance exam WB JELET (West Bengal Joint Entrance for Lateral Entry Test). You are eligible for getting lateral entry admission to 2nd year of degree in mechanical engineering after completion of your diploma in mechanical engineering.

WB JELET Eligibility
- You must have passed diploma in engineering with at least 45% marks from a recognized university.
- No upper age limit.

WB JELET Exam Pattern
- Number of Questions : 100
- Maximum Marks : 100
- Duration : 2 Hours
- Each correct answer carries 1 mark.
- 1/4 mark will be deducted for each wrong answer.

Important Dates of WB JELET
- Application Available Online : 26th March, 2020
- Last Date of Application : 16th April, 2020
- Admit Card Available : 2nd July, 2020
- WB JELET Exam : 17th July, 2020
- Result Declaration : 8th August, 2020
