Entrance exam patarn nd sallabus for m.a. English in JNU.

The level of the questions will be that of graduation. You need to have secured a minimum of 50% in the same to apply. There will be questions from English literature and the English language. Also there will be questions from Literature in India and in third world countries and the related cultural issues. Past papers are available for your reference.

JNU (Jawaharlal Neheru University)offers an M.A. programme in English.

M.A. in English

Eligibility:
(i)Bachelor's degree in any discipline under 10+2+3 pattern of education with at least 50% marks.

(ii) M.A. other than English Bachelor's degree in any discipline under 10+2+3 pattern of education with at least 45% marks with adequate proficiency in the concerned language.

Candidates who have already pursued B.A.(Hons.)/M.A. language programme in two or more Centres of study of the School of Language, Literature &Culture Studies are not eligible to join M.A. Language programme.

he main requirment is you should have complete your becholor degree.IES exam is only for some core branches.Only some branch student can give the IES exam.

JNU has no any fixed syllabus for its entrance exam in M.A and M.Phil. as well. You are supposed to have a strong critical power for any sort of literary work along with a deep creativity. You will have to show originality in your answer, conceptual accuracy, varied dimension of inter connectivity among many cultures.
your answers should be sweet, crisp, short and having a sort of value in themselves. Reasoning a must show thing in them. Write in exam as not to pass, but to show your inward thoughts in practical and pure way without external influence.
