final year BE students are eligible
to atten SI exam or not?

SI stands for the Sub Inspector. In order to become Sub Inspector, you need to appear for the Staff Selection Commission Combined Graduate Level exam.

Eligibility criteria:

~~Bachelor's degree in any stream from a recognized university. Final year candidates can also apply for the exam.

So, yes for any entrance exam of Sub Inspector, final year bachelor's degree in engineering candidate are eligible but you need to produce your degree within the time limits given by commission.

The age limit is 20-30 years as per latest notification.

The online applications for SSC CGL are going on for 2015. Last date is 26/05/2015. You can apply for www.ssconline.nic.in.
