Yes of course, you are eligible to take the NDA entrance examination. The minimum qualification for appearing the NDA entrance test is plus two. For commerce student can apply only for Army wing, science students with physics, chemistry and maths can apply any field of the academy. The minimum age limit required is 16 ½. The eligible candidate under 19 ½ can also take NDA examination. According to your date of Birth you have chances till 2014. There are also some physical standards for any applicants of NDA. The candidate should have minimum height of 152cm with weight 42.5 kg. You can apply to the academy when the official announcement for the exam will come in the Employment news or dailies.

Sorry...... Girls are not allowed in NDA exam. So do not worry that if girls are interested to join Defence then you go for give exam like CDS,UES,etc. Criteria for NDA exam:- *Candidate minimum pass 12th science and math,physics,chemistry as subject of 12th science *Age- 16.5 to 19 years age relax on the basis of govt.rules. *Candidate must be physically fit. Only MEN candidates are allowed. NDA exam is conducted by UPSC. Good Luck............... |

Only unmarried male candidates are eligible for NDA exam.
National Defense Academy (NDA) exam is conducted by upsc twice in a year to intake qualified Candidate for different department in Defense service like Indian Airforce, Indian Navy,Indian Army etc. Eligibility criteria for NDA-I/NDA-II exam: Education qualification: Minimum candidate should complete 12th class with PCM stream. NDA is the exam to enter the National Defence Academy and its only for unmarried male candidates. In fact they have a very strict age limit too. I am sorry but girls are not eligible for this NDA I or II. But yeah, girls have a special entry in the Army wing. So for that, your sister must be a graduate in any discipline and sit the respective test. If she clears, then she has to go through a medical check up and SSB interview, where group discussion and personal interview takes place. If she goes through that, she would become a part of the Indian Army So prepare well. Good luck ! |

Girls are not eligible for NDA exam.It is only for boys. But there are some other exam for girls to join defence services. You can apply for Combined defense service Exam (CDS). Criteria Graduation with 60 % marks from recognized university or College Age should be 19 to 25 Height 152 cm minimum Unmarried Citizen of India Besides it you can also apply for SSC(Short service commission),UES( University Entry Scheme),TES(Technical Entry Scheme). Girls are not allowed for NDA exam .............only unmarried boys are eligible for the exam but if you want to join army then you can do so by appearing for women special entry ......all you need to do is to have a first class graduation..... best of luck |

As we all know that The NDA Examination is conducted twice every year by the Union Public Service Commission under the names NDA-I & NDA-II. NDA - National Defence Academy. NDA exams are conducted twice in a year named NDA 1 & NDA 2 by UPSC. But according to the metrics NDA are not for girls so girls are not eligible for written test of any NDA exams (NDA 1 or NDA 2). Thanks |

I am sorry to say but your sister cannot give the exam.
Not only this year but any year. Actually NDA is an exam for which only unmarried boys are eligible. If a women wants to enter defence then she must give the SSC entrance exam. Thus I would suggest your sister to take the same path. |

Sorry, NDA examination is only for the male candidate. Female candidates are not eligible for the NDA examination. The NDA entrance examination is conducted twice in every year by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) for the selection in the different wing of NDA.To appear in the NDA exam you need following criteria.
Eligibility Criteria for NDA Examination. --> Pass 12th class from a recognize board/University. The 12th board appearing student can also apply for the NDA examination. --> The age must be between 16 1/2 to 19 years at the time of NDA entrance examination. --> Only Male candidates are eligible to apply for the NDA examination. So, As per eligibility criteria if you are a female candidate then you are not eligible to apply for NDA examination.
