Is it good to change stream from Diploma Civil to B.Tech Computer Science?
I have completed Civil diploma. In counseling my options are: 1st one is Civil and 2nd one is Computer Science. But Civil is not available. So I am joining Computer Science. Is it a good choice as I have done Diploma in Civil?

You are not eligible for admission in Computer science.
Through lateral entry, candidates are not eligible to change the stream. So, you are eligible for admission in only those institutes in which Civil course is offered. Entrance test is conducted for lateral entry in 2nd year of the B.Tech course. |

It all depends upon your interest. If you have enjoyed Civil Engineering during diploma course then it would be wrong to go for Computer Science engineering just for sake of pursuing engineering.
You must have clarity about your interest. If you like Computer Science engineering then you can opt for this stream in bachelor's degree. |
