My son is studying in 10th cambridge i would like to ask what is good as he is interested in automobile engineering is it good to do diploma and then degree or he should finish 12th. Can you advice what does he have to prepare for entrance exam for diploma.

Can you advice good college and inform how many years course is of diploma. now we are in Rajkot in india. but he has studied till 9th in dubai

Both the options mentioned are fine. You have to first take a decision on the institute you are planning to send your son. Like if you wish that he join IIT or NITS then certainly going for 12th is a good option. After that he can appear for IIT-JEE. While selecting a diploma course you need to careful in checking whether the institute is recognised. The duration should be 3 years. After that they will need to appear for LEET and be eligible to join for the second year of engineering.

Its always better to complete your schooling first, i.e upto SSC (Senior secondary).
As your son is interested in automobile engineering. You just help him in completing his school.
After that there are engineering entrance exams like IIT, AIEEE, your ward can appear in these engineering entrance exams and if he scores good position, he'll get one of the good colleges in India for his automobile engineering.


Duration of diploma course:
Diploma courses are basically of one year only.

It depends on from which institute you want to do engineering.
The premier institutes like IITs, NITs , BITS, DTU all requires 12th passes students also with some particular percentage.

But also there are many institutes like which direct entry to diploma holders in second year.
For lateral entry you have to appear for entrance test like WEBJEE, LEET.

Duration of most of engineering diploma courses is of Three years and after completing diploma student can join Engineering degree courses(B-Tech/BE) through lateral entry scheme. In both the cases student need to appear for entrance examination to get a good reputed collage but still it is wise to complete school studies upto 10+2.

No, i don't think diploma is better for your son. I suggest you to finish his

12th std schooling and then join in Automobile Engineering in Engineering college

which would take him to peak. To join in Engineering colleges you have entrance

exams like AIEEE or IIT JEE. And duration for diploma courses is 2 yrs.

The preparation for the diploma can be started from the 11th class and the admission in Diploma College is through the entrance exam. But it will be very beneficial if he completes his 12th class from any stream. After his 12th class he can also apply for the diploma or engineering entrance exam which is to be conducted at the national and state level every year.

whats the gerrenty that your son ll score good marks in 12th and get ad. in best collage...?? if he can get ad. in best collage so you should go with diploma.

yes it is a good option to do diploma first but if your interest is in diploma otherwise the good option is degree after doing +2 with PCM subjects.

there is one entrance exam for diploma.you should give JET entrance exam to take the admission into diploma.

Hey as you have passed out the 10 th examination.

The diploma course is of in total 3 years and 6 semisters.

In diploma you will have some technical subjects to which you have'nt come accross yet.

May be you will find them littel difficult but regularity in studies will make the exams real easy.

You will have a project in the last year.

after doin diploma on the basis of your last year % you will get an admission for degree course in any college through CAP round in Maharashtra.

Remember, you will an admission to bestes colleges only on the basis of your diploma last year %.

Yes you can join engg without qualifing EAMCET exam.

You can go for variouse diploma courses after 10th on the basis of your 10 th %.

If you are sure about to do engg only then I will suggest you to do diploma course.

On the basis of your last year diploma marks you can get admission for Engg degree course directly in 2nd year.

If you go by qualifing EAMCET then also you complete your engineering in 6 years after 10th, and going through diploma after 10 th will also take 6 years to complete degree.

So if you are not interested to give EAMCET then surely go for Diploma.

So study hard and choose the branch carefully in which you have interest.
