However if you think that you have leadership qualities and can better cope up with financial issues then its okay. And since you are from science background you have to face little problem because there you in MBA Finance to have to also deal with accounting basics. But that's not a problem at all, you will learn there.

If we talk about scope of MBA (Finance) then let me tell you that Before reccession MBA (Finance) was at the TOP choice among the Students and Recruiters. But after reccession MBA (Marketing) has taken that position, and MBA (Finance) being at second.

But since market is coming out of reccession impact, MBA is again getting its charm. And today both the MArketing and Finance holds the top position, in all respect wethaer Placement, recruitment, or salary.

You gave three important years for BSc and now you dont want to make it count, it's OK. MBA in finance is ofcourse a rewarding programme but only if it has been done from the best of the institutes.
In the present scenario, most of the students and professionals are interested in MBA but each of them will not qualify for the corporate competition. A degree is never enough to get you a satisfying career.
You need to have certain inborn qualities to succeed in a particular field.
If you think you have all what it needs to be in the Managerial position, then definitely go for it, else stick to your expertise.

MBA in Finance as such is good, but they have lot of parallel courses like CFA. Now a days we have seen more preference to courses like CA and CFA when it comes to higher end financial jobs as they have lot more depth in curriculum compared to MBA Finance. But I wont prefer doing MBA Finance after Bsc as it is quite tough to get started. It will be much easier for a guy who has done Bcom as he would be knowing most of the basic financial aspects especially accounting principles and so on.

You have decided well dear.....!

Just go for MBA. Since you are B.sc (IT) graduate you can opt for MBA (IT) it will keep you in your field. But if you have'nt focused on Programing in your B.sc the you will found little problem as there in MBA (IT) you have to it along with your Managerial subjects.

If you dont want to remain in IT sector longer you can opt for any other fields like- MArketing, Finance, Sales etc... all are core MBA subjects with promissing career possibilities.

but as u r student of Bsc so , MBA is totally different from ur field..

BSC is general line and MBA is business line..

i think it is a good decision to take finance after BSC , but he/she have to struggle in the interviews because most companies recruit b.com graduates rather than Bsc candidates.so, be careful with that

Yes it is good that MBA in finance.
There are many certifications and courses that one can take like IIBF courses, NCFM certifications, IFBI.
But investment banking certifications are only offered by Finitiatives Learning..
also, there is a financial modelling certification by NCFM..it would be helpful in investment banking.
there are also courses like CFA..which are very reputed..but they are long term like 2-3 yrs minimum..so you'll have to start ur prep today itself for them..

in short term I think finitiatives and financial modelling by NCFM are good.

You can enter into various kind of job profiles in organization in finance department or you can go for several jobs in stock broking companies, mutual funds and you can perform trading on your own.
