Is it good to do PhD in Human Resource Development and Finance?


I have completed MBA in human resource development and finance from Dr. C.V. Raman University with 60% marks. Now I would like to do P.hd in same branch.It is not the purpose of teaching or to get any promotion. I would like to get a satisfying answer or opinion in this regard.
