Hello sir, am Nagaraj doing B.tech 3rd year ,am in a state of confusing about my carrier to go with a GATE or CAT,am an above average student and hoping that you may give a valuable suggestion regarding my carrier .

CAT is for MBA and GATE is for M.tech.

So, its upon you prospect is good in both the fields,since you have mentioned that you af you are not so good in studies,so i wil advice youto go for Mba.

well...........i think its depend upon your intrest......both have good career but i will sujjest u to go for CAT...as technomanagement has booming career this time.....

i think it depends on your interests and skills...both are good..

it totally depends on you and your area of interest.but if you want a suggestion then i will say you to go for CAT.because if you crack it then you are going to get a lots of money.but if you are interested in technical field then go for GATE.

as you are doing b.tech then it will be better for you to do m.tech than going for mba......
as you have spend 4 yrs for engineering then it will be worth for you if you go for m.tech ....as if you wanted to do mba then you could have done graduation in much shorter time....why went for engineering.....

m.tech is comparable in all respect with the mba.....you get equivalent job scope and salary......
so it all depends on you.....

CAT is the best option as there is lots of demand for MBA students

i would suggest you to go for GATE because it will be easier to prepare for you and you have more chances of success in it than CAT

i thing you must go for CAT it will provide you with a great future as after doing this you will be placed in IIM which place you such companie which have much higher salary so go for CAT

for you b.tech is the best option i myself being ab.tech student giving you this idea as you must stick to your path of study don't take a long turn in life..........

i will advice you to go for mba.becuse after doing mba you have both the skills like managing as well as technical skills,so sure you will find fair handsome salary.

dear friend, an average student can crack any exam ,its just the result of student's labour according to any exam.
As per your confusion , i want to let you inform that both of two exams are very prestigious & all student want to appear in this exams.

so kindly go through your interest, if you are interested in further study in your departmental paper then kindly appear for GATE exam, & if you want to go in management line then you should appear in CAT exam.
its just depend upon your choice.

you see,if you are really interested to do your trade engg oriented jobs,then you must do mtech.it will helps you to reach your destiny.

if you are interested in engg works.then you must do MBA.by cracking good rank in CAT.and choose a good college.

after all i can say Btech+MBA is very good option for career.

It totally depends on your interest ,if you fill confusing in choosing the GATE or CAT then
take the decision with cool mind.

Let me tell you about the courses details that MBA is for the management ,it means that students for the MBA generally improves marketing skills.

Whereas GATE exam is generally for the B.Tech students and implies the tehnical knowledge.

So take the decision according to your interest,so choose GATE or CAT accordingly...

in my opinion, you must go for cat exam, because now a days btech+mba is in great demand by many multinational companies. They get highly paid jobs. But it also depends on your interest. If you want to continue the technical line then you can go for gate exam. Choice is yours.

hi friend cat entrance exam is for mba and m tech entrance is gate so if you want to join mba apply for cat exam or if you want to join for engineering you can apply for gate.........

As far i feel you are persuing B.tech and its a technical degree so you should continue with the same by doing M.tech.Once you are in buisness schools you have no relation with your this technical knowledge.
Rest depends on your interest and choice.

but since you are above average student, so you MBA but prepare yourself for CAT, MAT...
this entrance exam is the toughest part.

sir,im studyng b.e 3rd year,im well at studies as above 80%,i want to go for cat is it satisfactory to go after gate?

i hve completed my engineering in computer...but now i m thinking abt CAT...is it good option after engineering??

Its very good option to choose MTECH.you are doing engineer so its very

good for you to continue your higher studies with your engineering branch.

Yes MBA is also very good option but not as good as MTECH.

If you are an everage student then join an intitute.There are many intitutes

which can give you good guidence also its very good for your preperation.

Its a very good option to increase your salery because after master degree

you can get a good package in companies.

CAT OR GATE

With this attitude(I'm an average student, I cant do this), you wont succeed anywhere.

GATE and CAT are two completely different things.

Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) is an all India examination administered and conducted jointly by the Indian Institute of Science and seven Indian Institutes of Technology on behalf of the National Coordination Board - GATE, Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), Government of India.

The Common Admission Test (CAT) is a Computer Based Test in Quantitative Ability, Data Interpretation, Verbal Ability and Logical Reasoning. The Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs) use the test as an important component in selecting students for the business administration programs

Firstly, instill confidence in yourself. It all depends on interest, will and determination.

it is completely different for GATE and CAT there is no comparision between gate and cat

that is based on your interest you should move

if you have interest on core jobs and life in core go through GATE
if you have interest on business oriented life go through CAT

Both the fields have a good scope no doubt in that.
It totally depends on your interst in which field you want to go whether in the management field or in the teaching field.
If you have interst in the management then you should go for CAT.
But if you have good knowledge in your core subjects then you should go for GATE exam.
It depends on your choice and the area of interest.
