Re: Which is the higher post between SP and DSP
SP is stands for the post of superintendent of police which is also known as Deputy Commissioner of Police and DSP is stands for the post of Deputy Superintendent of police which is also known as Assistant Commissioner of Police.
DSP works under the influence of SP. Hence, the post of SP are having more powers and is higher post than the post of DSP. |

Re: Which is the higher post between SP and DSP
SP (superintendent of police) is the higher post than DSP (deputy superintendent of police). In India, a District Superintendent of Police (SP) heads the police force of a district. Superintendents of Police are officers of the Indian Police Service. He is entrusted with the responsibility of maintaining law and order
and related issues of a district of a state or a union territory of India. He is assisted by the officers of the State Police Service and other State Police officials. |
