No, Hindi Sahitya Sammelan Prayag is not approved by University Grant Commission (UGC). But Hindi Sahitya Sammelan is recognized by the Government of India by Act of parliament as an institution of national importance for the promotion Hindi language and literature in the non -Hindi states of India. Funds for this institute are granted by the Government and not by UGC.
