Re: How to become an Astrophysicist?
You need at least a master's degree to become an astrophysicist, though many employers require a doctoral degree. Students can expect to take courses in engineering, physics, astronomy and other science courses. Students need to first complete a bachelor's degree with a major in astrophysics or a similar field.

The first thing you need would be a 10 + 2 from some government recognised board and it should be from science stream then having a good score would help you get admission to a better college for further studies. You would need to give either the joint entrance exam or the entrance exam particular to a specific institution that you want to join and qualify in it. You can do a significant or Honours degree in physics and take mathematics as your secondary subject and after completion of a graduation you can opt for a post graduate degree in physics or astrophysics after completing their master's degree in Astronomy you will need to do a specialisation course to complete your PhD degree. |

Re: How to become an Astrophysicist?
Aspirants who have successfully completed their 12th can specialise in the field of Astrophysics so, as to build up a career in this build and they should have studied Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects in the 10+2 level.
Then they can go for various undergraduate programs in the field of Astrophysics such as you can pursue a bachelor's in Science in physics or mathematics and after that you can pursue a postgraduate degree in physics or mathematics or Masters in technology in engineering and then, finally pursue a PhD program with specialisation in Astrophysics.
