Sir I have passed 12th with 55% from PCM so can I able to join merchant Navi?

If you want to join in Merchant Navy first you can crack for NDA examination.

NDA stands for National Defence Academy.

This examination is conducted by Union Public Service Commission in yearly twice that is
NDA 1 and NDA 2

NDA have three Wings that is:-
Indian Air Force
Indian Navy
Indian Army

Required disability criteria for NDA examination :-

Educational qualification:-

For Bachelor of Merchant Navy courses, candidates must have completed class 12th with Sciences stream and physics, chemistry and mathematics as compulsory subjects. The minimum marks requirement is 60%.

Age limit:-

Candidates age should be between 16.5 years to 19 years.
There is no age relaxation for this examination.

Nationality:-

Candidates should be a citizen of India.

Selection procedure:-

Written examination
Medical test
Personal interview.

°°° The minimum percentage required in 12th to join Merchant Navy after 12th is 60%.
If you have minimum percentage of 60 then only you will be eligible to join Merchant Navy.
I would like to suggest you to give an improvement examination of your 12th board so that you can improve your percentage and then you can apply for the examination that it mainly conducted for the Merchant Navy students.

However if you apply through NDA. examination, then there is no minimum or maximum percentage required.
You can appear in NDA examination after passing 12th with non medical stream.

Yes, you qualify for a Merchant Navy job after passing the 12 standard.

The qualification for the Merchant Navy is that candidates must pass Class XII (and in some cases Class X) from a recognized board as per the Government of India. For officer grade, it is compulsory to have at least 50% marks in English and 60% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.

If you have completed 12th standard with Physics, Chemistry and Maths then it is possible to apply for job in Merchant Navy. However my suggestion would be that you should continue with the studies and complete graduation.

If you apply for a job after 12th you will become deck cadet. However if you applied for job in Merchant Navy after completing graduation there will be official level jobs available for you.

Your age should not be more than twenty years.

There is 5 years relaxation for SC/ST.

Only unmarried candidates can apply.
This role is enforced on both male and female candidates.

To join Merchant Navy ,one should have 60%marks in 12th standard.
