Does academic record at all matter to become a IAS OFFICER?IS THERE ANY MARKING ON IT IN THE INTERVIEW?

[FONT=Arial]If you have graduation degree from recognized university then you can apply for IAS Exam. So if you have completed your pending backlog then you are applicable for IAS exam Exam otherwise not.
No Matter of Academic Record at the time of interview meanwhile you should take care of interview procedure and way of Capturing the questions and Answers for the same.
The ranking may effect the selection process after Main Exam and interview.

IAS exam conducted for UPSC through civil service exams .
The age eligibility criteria is -
Minimum age - 21 years old.
Maximum age - 30 years old.

Your age now 21 years old so you are applicable for IAS exam .
Permissible No of Attempts in IAS exam -

For General Category - 4
For OBC - 7
For SC/ST - No limit

Selection process for IAS exam are -

1) Preliminary Test
2)Mains Exam
3)Personal Interview.

Academic records of the candidate are not considered during the selection of IAS Officer. Performance in prelims, mains, and interview were taken in to account. Anyway, the applicant must hold the basic qualification of degree. Your age must be less than 30 years. You can submit online applications through the web site of UPSC.

Academic records is not the criteria for the selection
Its only your performce in the Mains written exams and Personal interview

If you want to become an IAS officer than in that case you have to give the Civil Services Exams conducted by UPSC

This exam is held for 24 posts and these are IAS,IPS,IFS,IRS etc

Educatiional qualifications required is:
Graduation pass in any stream
No minimum marks required in graduation

Age-
Minimum 21 years
Maximum -30 years for all the General category candidates
Maximum 33 years for the OBC candidates
Maximum 35 years for the SC/ST candidates

Attempts-
General candidates- 4
OBC candidates -7
SC/ST candidates- No such restrictions


UPSC Civil Services Exams are held in three stages:
Prelims
MAINS
Interview

Eligibility Criteria :-

A.)Educational Qualification:-

The minimum qualification required for appearing the competitive examination is Graduation. Many professionals like Engineers, Doctors, persons with Ph.d qualifications are competing for UPSC.

B.)Age Factor:-

1.> For general category :-

21-30 years and can attempt 4 times.

2.>For SC/ST :-

21-35 years ,and there is no limitation .

3.> For the OBC:-

21-33 years and can attempt 7 times.

Paper Pattern for IAS exam :-

1) General-Studies paper carries 150 marks

2) Optional paper carries 150 marks.

Instead of one compulsory paper of General Studies and one Optional paper, both the papers shall be compulsory.

IAS stands for Indian Administrative Service. One interested candidate to become an IAS officer, has to apply, appear and crack Civil Service Examination conducted once every year after Graduation Degree.

How To Become IAS Officer

To become an Indian Administrative Services Officer..you will have to first clear the UPSC conducted Civil Services Examination

The Civil Services Examination has 3 phases :-

>> CSAT or Preliminary Examination

>> Mains Examination

>> Personal Interview

The minimum required eligibility conditions for appearing in the Civil Services Examination is :-

> The candidate has to be within the age limit of 21-30 years..
