My son is studing in class 10th. I want him to become an animator. What percentage he requires & how to make his registration if any

To become a professional animator...you must do a basic animation course...the for higher level...you can do a course in a respectable institution like ...RACE animation ,Hyderabad...there on you can choose...which stream to go...like VFx or 2-animation..etc...

For an animator ,no formal education is required as the child must have an artistic talent in HIM.But the knowledge of computer is necessary for animation and graphic design.you should not be registered but instead you must create your portfolio & add the samples of your best artwork in it.you must be able to work in a team to create the vision of the project.

To become an animator, first and for most one should have a passion towards art form. People with artistic, creative and innovative skills have a better chance of shining in the field. In today’s world and animator can find a job in any field from cartoon films and video games to promos for television serials.

But the students who have no interest in that profession will fail in their career and it will be so sad to see for you
For an animator , the essential thing he should possess is a creative mind and good talent
So if he has interest in that field ,then allow him to go for animation otherwise allow him to decide about his career
That will be better than making him to acheive your wishes
Ask your son about his interest and decide about his career jointly

Many companies and professional training institutes offer

professional animation courses,

you can enrol for them and become professional animator/game designer.

however please note that you need to have good desingninng

and creative skills for getting successful in this field.

6months to 1yr diploma courses are available.

to become an animator, you will have to do animation course. the duration of course varies in different institutions. after completing the course, you can make some animations of your own creation and show them to the various companies who needs an animator.

Hi! Usually for pursuing animation course a student requires to be 12th pass from any faculty. There are no particular expectations of percentage. For registration, your son will first require to pass an entrance exam from an animation institute and then proceed with the admission process. DSK Supinfocom in Pune is an international animation school which is organizing their entrance exam on 15th April 2012. You can contact the institute for further details.
