If you want to work in NASA, you can. Scientists are those who have more knowledge on a particular area of science. If you are aiming to be a scientist, continue your study while working at NASA and get a p.hd like degree, where you will be studying on a perticular topic.
NASA provide jobs for all type of candidates. In it's home site, NASA tells as: 'NASA is more than astronauts. We are scientists, engineers, IT specialists, human resources specialists, accountants, writers, technicians and many, many other kinds of people.'. So, you can be anything.
