How to calculate the age criteria for UPSC examination?
Hello Sir, my date of birth is 22nd May, 1983 and I belong to Schedule Tribe caste category. Am I eligible to write the UPSC exam 2020 session? How can I calculate the age criteria? How many attempts am I allowed?

Re: How to calculate the age criteria for UPSC examination?
Age of the candidate is calculated as per his age on 1st of August in the year of exam.
Since, you will be appearing in next year i.e. 2020. So, your age as per your DOB will be around 37 years 2 months. As your age would be exceeding from the upper age limit of 37 years, so you won't be eligible to apply for UPSC exam. SC/ST candidates get unlimited attempts till their age limit, but since you have crossed your upper age limit so you won't be able to apply for UPSC exams. |
