i am study in class 11 can appeal in cpt exam?

when you are in
eligibility for cpt:

--10th pass

--12th pass with

commerce and maths

then only you are eligible for cpt

so, first complete your 12th first then you go for cpt ok

No you can not appear for the Common Proficiency Test unless complete the 12th standard. Although you can apply for the CPT exam once you have completed the 10th standard. But it is important to have cleared 12th to appear for it.


CPT is the first stage of Chartered Accountancy course. There are four subjects in the exam that are divided into two groups. In order to clear the exam you need to score 30 percent marks in each group while total of 50 percent marks in the both groups combined. The subjects of the Common Proficiency Test are:


1. Fundamentals of Accountancy

2. Economics

3. Mercantile Law

4. Quantitative Aptitude



Once you have passed the Common Proficiency Test you can seek admission for the IPCC which is the second stage of Chartered Accountancy course. Alternatively you can skip the CPT exam and after completing graduation apply for the IPCC - Integrated Professional Competancy Course.


There are total of seven papers in the Integrated Professional Competancy Course. These papers are divided into two groups. Below is the detail.


Group 1

1. Accounting

2. Business Laws,Ethics and Communication

3. Cost Accounting and Financial Management

4. Taxation



Group 2

5. Advanced Accounting
6. Auditing and Assurance
7. Information Technology and Strategic Management



At last would come the third stage called Final Course. This is the most difficult part of Chartered Accountancy. Only way to seek admission is by passing Integrated Professional Competancy Course.


Group 1

1. Financial Reporting

2. Strategic Financial Management

3. Advanced Auditing and Professional Ethics

4. Corporate and Allied Laws


Group 2

5. Advanced Management Accounting

6. Information System control and Audit

7. Direct Tax Laws

8. indirect tax Laws

The CPT is the First stage of the CA(Charted Accountant) exam which is Conducting every

Year and yes you can apply for the exam cpt but at 12th level but you can appear in the

Exam after completing your 12th

Format of the Exam:

Accounts
Economics
Maths
Law

And each subject will carry 50 marks it means a total of 200 marks and you need to score a at least 15 marks in each subject and a total of 100 in all subjects ..

Also after clearing the exam you will get admission in the Ipcc and you have to clear the ipcc and than their will be the third stage is the final and after that your CA Will complete if you are able to clear the exam but take care of one thing that it is a very tough task and you have to work very much hard if you want to clear the exam as you know the pass percentage of the exam is almost 3 to 4 % it means the competition in the exam is more than the ITT Exam too .So if you want to become a CA So you have to work hard and have to study at least 5 hours a day..

Can i take cpt coaching in 12th itself?And is it tough for a commerce student bcoz as there is no maths subject for commerce students?

Can i avail the study material issued by board of studies for CPT in class XI itself??

I am in class 11th and registered with cpt in Feb 2016. Can I take exams in June 2016
