Sir, I am a 2nd year B.Tech Civil Engineering student. I want be a CBI Officer. How can I become a CBI Officer after completion of my B.Tech? Would I have to do any further degree course or can I apply on the basis of B.Tech only? Is there any entrance requirements for CBI Officer?

No, you need not to do any further course to become CBI Officer. Just after completion of B.Tech course, you can apply for entrance exam conducted for recruitment to CBI Officer.

To become CBI Officer, you will have to apply for SSC exam.

SSC exam has three stages to qualify i.e.

• Preliminary Exam
• Mains Exam
• Personal Interview

To crack Preliminary exam, you need to prepare these topics like:

• English Comprehension
• Numerical Aptitude
• General Awareness
• General Intelligence and reasoning ability

While preparing for Mains exam, you need to prepare for these topics:

• Arithmetic ability
• Statistics
• English comprehension skills

Finally, you will be called for Personal Interview if you qualify above two stages.
