After the completion of +2 level of exam from a recognized board, students are eligible for undergraduate programs - Bachelor of Hotel Management [BHM], Bachelor of Science in Hotel Management, BA/BA [Hons.] in Hotel Management and BBA in Hotel Management. To get admission in the undergraduate programs, candidate has to appear for entrance examination.

Following are the list of some of the reputed Institutes which offers undergraduate programs:

Guru Nanak Institute of Hotel Management
Indian Institute of Hotel Management [IIHM]
International Institute of Hotel Management, Kolkata
A-IHM Institute of Hotel Management
Acharya Institute of Management and Sciences [AIMS].

To Take Admission in Hotel Management,you will have to apply for NCHCT Entrance Exam.This is the All India Entrance Exam for taking Admission in Hotel Management Course.To appear in this exam,you will have to meet these Eligibility conditions :-

Educational qualification :-

• Your minimum educational qualification should be 10+2 passed out in nay discipline from recognized university/board.
• English should be your compulsory paper in 10+2.

Marks :-

• Minimum marks required to apply for this exam is 50%.
• Those candidates who belongs from the SC/ST category should have at least 45% marks in 10+2.

Age :-

• Appearing candidates age should not be above 25 years.
• Candidates who belong from the SC/ST/OBC category will get age relaxations up-to 28 years.

Exam Syllabus and Pattern details :-

• Numerical ability and Scientific Aptitude - 30 Marks.

• Reasoning and Logical Deduction - 30 Marks.

• General Knowledge and Current Affairs - 30 Marks.

• English Language and Comprehension - 80 Marks.

• Aptitude for Service Sector - 30 Marks.

Note :-

• All questions will be objective type with multiple choice.
• Total duration of this exam will be 3 hours.

If you want to do the 3 years Bachelors Level Hotel Management course than you should apply to the NCHMCT OR National Council for Hotel Management and Catering Technology Joint Entrance test for the Hotel Management Course.

Eligibilty to apply for this written Test is:

Educational Qualifications: 12th Pass in any stream
English should be one of the subjects in class 12th


AGE- Max age to apply for the General and OBC candidates is 22 years
Only Candidates born on and after 1st July 1991 can apply
SC/ST candidates gets 3 years age relaxations



Questions will be asked from the below sections in the Hotel Management Entrance Exams
Numerical Ability and Scientific Aptitude
Reasoning and Logical Deduction
General Knowledge & Current Affairs
English Language
Aptitude for Service Sector
