The state government will recruit RTOs (Regional Transport Officer) for their states individually. The candidate must pass a B.E Mechanical engineering or a diploma in Automobile from the recognized universities/institutions. The age limit is 18 to 35 years. These eligibility details will differ from state to state, you have to check it in your state. There will be a written test and interview.
The syllabus will be from the General knowledge, English, general studies, mechanical or automobile engineering, computer science.
In engineering subject the syllabus for the test will be from Fundamentals, Strength of materials, theory of machines, Engineering Materials.
