The Entrance Exams For The Admission Into Marine Course Is:

Graduation level

>> MERI: Marine Engineering and Research Institute entrance exams

>> IIT JEE: IIT Joint Entrance Examination

>> AIEEE: All India Engineering Entrance Examination.

>> AICET: All India Common Entrance Test.

>> IMU CET: Indian Maritime University Common Entrance Test

Post graduation level

>> GATE: Graduate Aptitude test in engineering

Apart from GATE, post graduation entrance tests are conducted by various institutions which provide Marine engineering as post graduation. Such as:

Andhra University
Chidambaram Institution of Maritime Technology

Marine engineering aspects of equipments and machines which are found on board of a ship,either it may of a boat, a ship or a submarine.It is a very vast branch of engineering.This marine engineering course duration is 4 years.

Eligibility criteria:

you should complete the 12th standard with minimum of 60% of marks from a recognized state board or university of India.

Candidate should complete with 12th with PCM(Physics ,Chemistry,Mathematics) subjects.

Age limit:

you must not more than 20 years.

**Candidate should be physically fit.

Fee structure:

There are various courses related to Marine Engineering which you can do.These are :

• Diploma in Marine Engineering.
• Bachelor of Science in Marine Engineering.
• Bachelor of Technology in Marine Engineering.
• Bachelor of Technology in Naval Architecture and Ocean Engineering.

To take admission in the above courses you will required to met these eligibility conditions :


Educational qualification :

• Your minimum educational qualification should be Higher secondary school certificate that is 10+2/Inter from recognized board/university.
• Your stream should be science with Mathematics.

Marks :

• Your minimum marks in 10+2 should be 60%.
• Your average marks in Physics and Mathematics should be 50%.

Age :

• Minimum age required to take admission in this course is 16 years.
• Your age should not be above 22 years.

Physical Fitness:

• You should be Physically and Mentally fit to study this course.
• You should not have any internal injury.
• You should not have stomach/Liver/Heart problem.
• You gum/teeth should be in good conditions.
• Minimum acceptable eye vision is +2.5/-2.5.
