Sir I am Bhuvanesh, studying 11th class in Andhra Pradesh I want to know about how can I join in Indian Air Force

If you wish to join Indian Air Force in future then you should know that you can get
an officer category job only if you study 10+2 in Science stream with Physics and Maths.

After 12th there are three ways of getting into Indian Air Force.

1. N.D.A. Examination
This examination is conducted by UPSC generally twice a year.
You can apply for the exam while studying in 12th or after passing 12th board exams.
There is no percentage restriction.
You can apply for this exam only if you are studying 10+2 with Physics and Maths. subjects.
The age limitation for the exam is 16.5 to 19 years.

2. Airmen Group 'X' recruitment examination
This examination is Central Airmen Selection Board (CASB).
You can apply for the exam while studying in 12th or after passing 12th board exams.
You should have at least 50% marks in 10+2 board exam
You can apply for this exam only if you are studying 10+2 with Physics and Maths. subjects.
The age limitation for the exam is 17 to 22 years.

3. Airmen Group 'Y' recruitment examination
This examination too, is Central Airmen Selection Board (CASB).
You can apply for the exam while studying in 12th or after passing 12th board exams.
You should have at least 50% marks in 10+2 board exam
Students of science, arts, commerce all streams are eligible for this exam.
The age limitation for the exam is 17 to 22 years.

You can join indian air force by applying nda exam after 12th standard with pcm subject.


NDA exam stands for national defence academy which is conducted by upsc twice in a year.
NDA exam is conducted into three wings:-
Indian army
Indian navy
Indian air force
NDA EXAM ELIGBLITY:-
>12th standard from a recognized board with pcm subject to join indian air force.
>age limit is 16.5 to 19 years.
>you must be unmarried man and indian citizen.

i have enlist procedure as follows:

1)Selection procedure

>>All India selection Test
>>Recruitment Rallies


2)Written test
candidates are tested in english,physics , mathematics,reasoning and general awareness

written test is in both hindi & english and based on CBSE pattern

3)Physical fitness test:
candidates after written test should be gone under physical fitness test
air force (police) /air force(security) consist of 1.6 km
indian air force(police)/indian air force(security) consist of 5km & 2.4km in 30 to 15 min

4) then they go under interview

To join in Indian Air Force,you should apply for NDA exam.NDA stands for National Defense Academy.This exam is conducted by Union Public Service Commission every year twice.

To appear for NDA exam,you should have completed or appearing for final exam of 12th class with PCM from a recognized university.And your age should be between 16 1/2 to 19 years.

So you can fill the NDA application form next year as your in 11th class.NDA-I exam notification will release in the month of December and exam will held on April month every year.NDA-II exam notification will release in the month of May and exam will held on August month every year.

Sorry, you cannot apply for any of the entrance examination to join Air Force because the minimum Educational Qualification required to join any of the defence service is 12th passed from a recognized institute.

After completing 12th, one can apply for NDA (National Defence Academy) examination to get into its defence services.

It has three wings :
> Air Force
> Navy
> Army
.
As you want to join Air Force, you cannot apply for Air Force or Navy because to join Air Force or Navy wing of NDA, you must have taken Physics and Mathematics to complete 10+2.

Along with these, your age also in between 16.5 to 19 years, you must be an unmarried male and your nationality must be an Indian.

You can also join Air Force in CDS (Combined Defence Services) for which you have to complete your graduation in engineering from a recognized university.

Hi,

There is no need to worry about you studying in any board,you have to pass the 12th standard from any board but it should be recognized by any university. NDA exam is conducted every year twice,you can apply for this of you want to be in air force, you can also apply for AFCAT.

Some of the criteria are:

You should be between 16.5 - 19 years of age.

Also you should have 60% in PCM.
