I am 18 years old and how can join us nsg

NSG stands for National Security Guard .

There is no provision for direct recruitment as NSG commandos.They are selected from Indian Defense Forces and Para Military Forces. So,anyone who wishes to become NSG has to first get selected into the Indian Defense Forces or Para Military Forces.

One can join Indian defense forces through NDA or CDS exam conducted by the UPSC .

The eligibility criteria for NDA exam are following:-

-The candidate must be a citizen of India.

-Only unmarried male candidate can apply for the exam.

-The age limit for the candidate is 16.5 years to 19 years.

-The candidate should have passed 12th class of 10+2 education system from a recognized board for Indian Military Academy and 10+2 with Physics,Chemistry and Mathematics for Indian Naval Academy and Indian Air Force Academy.

The eligibility criteria for CDS exam are as under:-

-The candidate must be an Indian.

-The candidate should have passed Graduation in any discipline for Indian Military Academy/Officer's Training Academy,Bachelor of Engineering for Indian Naval Academy and 10+2 level degree with Physics and Mathematics or Bachelor of Engineering for Indian Air Force Academy.

-The candidate age should be in between 19 years to 25 years.

The candidates in Indian Defense Forces or Para Military Forces gets promoted to NSG based on their quality of work or can join NSG after clearing the entrance exam of NSG.The candidate who qualify in the exam has to undergo for 14 months training in Manesar.
