For becoming a CA the different levels are
1. Entry Level Test Common Proficiency Test 2. First Stage of Theoretical Education Integrated Professional Competence Course 3. Final Stage of Theoretical Education Final Course Details of basic CPT-Common Profiency Test is entry level for beboming a CA. Eligibility A student who has passed the Class 10 examination conducted by an examining body constituted by law in India (or an examination recognized by the Central Government as equivalent thereto) may register [/B]for Common Proficiency Test. A registered student may appear in Common Proficiency Test after he has appeared in the Senior Secondary Examination* (10+2 examination) conducted by an examining body constituted by law in India (or an examination recognized by the Central Government as equivalent thereto) and has complied with such requirements as may be specified by the Council from time to time. A student who has got himself registered for Common Proficiency Test 60 days prior to the first day of the month in which CPT examination is to be held i.e. on or before 1st April and 1st October, can appear in the CPT examination to be held in June and December respectively. Re: How can I prepare for CA after 12th Commerce without opting for Maths with Commerce?
Hi...
You are absolutely eligible for CA course, even if you have not taken maths as a subject in your 12th. Even, you are not required to take commerce stream in your 12th to do CA. You can do it by taking any stream. But,it is better to take commerce stream as it helps you during your CA course. Now I am giving you some details about CA course. CA course is managed by ICAI (Institute of Chartered Accountants of India). The course is divided in three parts:- 1.CPT. 2.IPCC. 3.Final. The entrance test for CA course is CPT . It is of 200 marks and includes following subjects:- 1.Accounts. 2.Merchantile Law. 3.Economics. 4.Maths. So,its better to take maths with commerce stream because it is in the syllabus of CPT. You can give CPT after your 12th exam. For that, you will have to register yourself with ICAI and apply for CPT exam. Best of luck. Thanks. |

Re: How can I prepare for CA after 12th Commerce without opting for Maths with Commerce?
Quote:
2Gain significant work experience to show your proficiency as an accountant before you qualify to be a chartered accountant. Becoming a chartered accountant isn't something that's gained easily; you must generally put in several years of work, and then be willing to commit to additional study in order to be eligible for this status. 3Research the organizations that offer certification. Several organizations offer chartered accountant certification, with many countries having one or even more programs. Research each one in your area, or in the country in which you wish to work, comparing their fees, requirements and what's involved in the certification process. 4Apply to participate in chartered accountant certification. Some organizations accept individuals to their programs, while others accept only group applications from corporate clients. You may have to ask your employer to submit your application on your behalf. 5Find out what the entry requirements are, since many institutions and organizations have prerequisites that must be completed before you can even apply to the program. Additionally, you may need to be of a certain age, have a specific amount of professional experience or pass certain exams to enter the program. Conversely, you may be exempt from some requirements based on your academic or professional experience. Before you apply for certification, make sure you're eligible to enter the program. 6Complete several training components, covering topics such as preparing financial statements, managing people, corporate and business law, strategic business planning and development, business taxation, financial reporting, auditing and performance management. The exact components you’ll study depend upon the particular organization offering the certification program. 7Pass as many as 14 examinations, depending on which certification program you choose. At the final stage of the certification process, some exams may be the equivalent of a masters program, so you'll need to prepare for advanced subject matter. 8Comply with chartered accounting standards set forth by your organization. Once certified, chartered accountants are monitored and supervised by their home institute, and must comply with all rules and standards established by these organizations to retain their certification. all the very best hope u will have a bright future |

Re: How can I prepare for CA after 12th Commerce without opting for Maths with Commerce?
Mate,
There is no need of maths in CA line. You just need to have basic fundamentals of maths which you have already covered upto 10th. So, you need not to worry about maths. it will be there little bit in Enterance exam called CPE just for 25 marks out of 200. You can leave it completely and can score out of 175. The passing marks are 100. So, prepare yourself according to it. Hope it will help. Thankyou. |

Re: How can I prepare for CA after 12th Commerce without opting for Maths with Commerce?
Hello friends..............
For this course no need of maths. You can easily prepare for CA if you have cleared the basic fundamentals of commerce in 10 1 and 10 2. In entrance exam i.e. CPT, you will have 4 subjects Accounts, Economics, Statistics, Law and little bit of maths. But you need not to worry about maths. It can be avoided in the enterance and you can score from the rest. After the entrance, there will be no mathematics furthur. So, do not take any burden of maths. It will be hardly of 20-25 marks out of 200. So, prepare yourself according to it. Hope it would be helpful. All the best. |
