Tips to prepare for CPT exam:

1. Set time table to study and you can also buy text book and sample papers of CPT exam.

2. The passing mark in CPT is 150 so try solving problems quickly so that you can attend all the questions in exam.

3. Revise Accounts, Maths and Mercantile Law very well, almost the questions in the exam will be based on these subjects.

4. Also make sure that you revise quantitative aptitude, differentiation and integration, correlation and regression, economics, and theoretical distribution.

I want to know that is coaching for cpt is compulsory & if it is then from where we get coaching
?

CPT is Common Proficiency Test which is necessary to qualify to the next stage of CA course for those who are 12th pass students.

It is not compulsory to go for coaching but if you are not good at self study then you must join a coaching center.

Coaching will have an environment which will benefit you if your concepts are not clear in commerce.

CPT Pattern:

First Session (Morning Session) :

Section-A, Fundamental of Accounting; Section-B, Mercantile Laws

Second Session (Afternoon Session):

Section-C, General Economics; Section-D, Quantitative Aptitude

Hence you can prepare according to the syllabus mentioned above if you want to qualify CPT.

Getting above 50% marks is very necessary to qualify CPT. So you must start your preparation as soon as possible.
