NIMCET Entrance Exam is conducted by National Institute of Technology (NIT) for the intake of eligible candidates to the MCA course. Those who obtain good score in this exam will get an opportunity to pursue MCA course at various institutes of NIT. Pattern of this entrance exam is discussed below.

Structure and Syllabus for NIMCET Entrance Exam Pattern

NIMCET Entrance Exam will be a written examination with only objective type questions. Question paper will be in English Language with questions from four subjects such as Mathematics, Analytical Ability and Logical Reasoning, Computer Awareness and General English. OMR sheet will be given to the candidates to mark their answers. Candidates are allowed to use HB Pencil, eraser and blue/black ball point pen to mark the concerned answers on the OMR sheet. Calculators, mobile phones or any other electronic gadgets should not be used in the examination hall. Syllabus for this entrance examination is given below.

Question Pattern of NIMCET Entrance Exam Pattern

Multiple choice questions will be asked in this entrance exam with four choices of answers. Candidates should find one correct answer from these choices to score four marks. If they select wrong choice, then they can score only negative one mark. Total one hundred questions will be there on the question paper. Questions are unevenly distributed among the different subjects. Number of questions specified for each subject is given below.

• Mathematics - 45 questions
• Analytical Ability and Logical Reasoning – 40 questions
• Computer Awareness – 10 questions
• General English – 20 questions

Only two hours will be given to finish this entrance exam.
