The Bihar School Examination Board is primarily responsible for holding and conducting examinations along with other such duties as stated in the Act, Rules and Regulations of the Board.

Apart from all of this, the Board also conducts departmental examinations which are not on yearly basis such as Diploma in Physical Education, Certificate in Physical Education and Teachers Training Examination on terms and condition laid down by the State Government.
In the year 2012, the intermediate examination started with Biology and Entrepreneurship on 15 March 2012 and ended with Geography on 28 March 2012.

In terms of just the BSEB Science stream, the examinations flagged off on 26 March 2012 and concluded on 5 April 2012. The results for the same were announced on 5 June 2012.

Again, in terms of the BSEB Matric Examinations in 2012, the examinations were held between March and April 2012 and a good number of ten lakh students appeared in the examinations.

The results for the Matric examinations 2012, were declared on 29 May 2012. Though the date sheet isn’t out yet for neither the 10th nor the 12th standard for the Bihar board, Jagran Josh wishes all its students a healthy and a great academic year ahead.
