B.Ed stands for Bachelor of Education. It is a teacher training course and has now become compulsory for candidates who want to become teacher in government schools. Mumbai university conducts common entrance examination for admission of candidates into B.Ed course.

In order to apply for this examination, candidate must have done bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognized university. Final year candidates of bachelor's degree can also apply for this exam. Minimum of 50% marks in bachelor's degree is required to apply for CET of B.Ed. For reserved category candidates, there is 5% relaxation in marks.
