Law is a bunch of categorized rules and
regulations under which any society or
country is governed. Law is one of the
most essential and fundamental topic in
any country. The Law regulates the
rules that define human rights and obligations. People who break these
rules have to suffer the penalties for
their activities. The Law describes how
the government shall impose the rules

change. LLB is a law course of three-
year duration. To get admission for this
course, the students have to give an
entrance test and a personal interview. The course arrangement is divided into
6 semesters. LLB (General) Degree is
offered after the successful completion
of the second year. The LLB Degree is
awarded only after the completion of

LLB stands for Bachelor of law . It's an bachelor degree . The duration of the course is for three years and the course is divided into six semester . LLB course having different type specialization like , Criminal law /Corporate Law / Tax Law / Administrative Law / Labor Laws / Patent law etc...

Eligibility criteria for LLB Course :-

You should be qualified in three years bachelor degree in any discipline from recognized university . You should qualified in any bachelor degrees like , B.com / B.sc / BBA / B.A etc . You should score minimum 50% percentage of marks in bachelor degree relaxation is given for sc/st candidates and OBC candidates for 5% percentage of marks .

You should also qualified in entrance Examination like , Common Law Admission Test / Law School Admission Test / National Law School of India University etc.. with good percentile of marks .

If you aspiring to apply for Law Entrance Examination then you should complete 12th board Examination in discipline from recognized university . You should scores 50% percentage of marks in 12th board Examination . Final year candidates are also eligible to apply for the Examination .

The law Entrance examination over the syllabus like , Legal Reasoning / General Knowledge / Aptitude of Learning / Language Ability / General Science etc..

So , If your aspiring to apply for LLB course then complete B.com course with good percentile of marks then you may get admission in reputed colleges .

WHAT IS LLB COURSE PLEASE GIVE ME INFORMATION

LL.B. - BACHELOR OF LAW is a three years under Graduate course in Law and can be pursed after Graduation in any stream.

Generally the candidate having completed Graduation Degree in any stream with at least 40% marks from a recognised University within the age of 30 years, is eligible to apply for LL.B. The admission is on the basis of marks secured in Graduation level.

Some top Institutions conducts entrance exam like CLAT(Common Law Admission Test) with 50% marks in Graduation and on the basis of score in the entrance exam conduct admission to LL.B. course.

Sir, I passed my bcom in Oct.2007 can I eligable for LLB course.

You can apply for LLB as long as you have scored minimum of 45 percent marks in the graduation. If you have scored it then there should be no issue for you to apply for LLB course.


There are few colleges in India who offer LLB course these days. Actually a lot of colleges have started to offer BA LLB course which is 5 years in duration. The BA LLB course include a bachelor course and LLB.


This means that students interested in law degree are not required to first complete a graduation degree to apply for LLB. They can directly apply for BA LLB after completing 12th. This would save one year for the students.


But you can not take admission for the BA LLB. Since you are a graduate, LLB is the right way forward for you. Here is the criteria that you should meet to apply for LLB course.



LLB Eligibility

1. A graduation degree in any discipline.

2. Minimum of 45 percent marks in graduation.

3. If you belong to SC/ST then 40 percent marks are required.

4. The age limit for LLB is 30 years.

5. There is 5 years relaxation for SC/ST.

sir i read in b.com 2nd year in punjab university (corspondance).my 2nd year exam start on 2nd aprial 2013.i registed in llb graduate base because after gradute only 3 year llb.this is possible ya after b.com compleate
