Graduates in any stream can apply for MBA course. The course offers specialization in diverse streams like HR, Finance, marketing, etc. Being an engineering student, specialization in IT/systems, or operations will be suitable for you. MBA in real estate, MBA in Communication, etc are some of the emerging streams. You can select the stream according to your interest.

Hello Friend,

You are free to choose any specialization in MBA. You engineering degree will not restrict you from choosing any specialization in MBA.

But you should also look at getting in a good MBA college because the name of the college matters a lot. IF you get into a top end MBA college then during placements you expect way better packages than compared to the same at say not so good MBA college.
So rather than focusing on the specialization, try to get into a top MBA college first. Then after getting there, your next target would be getting the specialization that you want.

The competition is very tough for getting into a top MBA college so prepare thoroughly and do not relax until you have bagged the admission.

Best wishes..

See, After Engineering one can appear for many MBA entrance exams to take admission into MBA courses.
You can appear for the CAT exam, which is the most common exam for MBA admission, and is conducted on the national level. It is conducted in the month of November and depending upon your performance in the exam, i.e your percentile you can get admission into MBA colleges.

There are several other exams like GMAT, CMAT etc which are also for MBA admissions in many colleges.

Secondly every state has its own MBA entrance exam, which is a state level exam for admission into MBA colleges of that state. These are commonly known as MBA-CET .

Other option is that, few MBA colleges like symbiosis Institute , which is in Pune conducts its own entrance exam called the SNAP exam, so you can appear for these exams also.

GOOD LUCK
