To enter the National Law Universities in India and pursue law one needs to sit for the CLAT exam or Common Law Admission Test. This is basically an objective test which the interested candidates needs to give for pursuing both LLB and LLM. There are fourteen national law universities which takes part in this exam. Each of them conducts the exam in turns.

Colleges Participating in CLAT:- NLSIU, Bangalore; NALSAR, Hyderabad; NLIU, Bhopal; WBNUJS, Kolkata; NLU, Jodhpur; HNLU, Raipur; GNLU, Gandhinagar; RMLNLU, Lucknow; RGNUL, Patiala; CNLU, Patna; NUALS, Kochi; NLUO, Orissa; NUSRL, Ranchi; NLUJA, Assam

CLAT Eligibility:-

Under Graduate Course:-

• You need to obtain a Senior Secondary School/Intermediate (10+2) or its equivalent certificate from a recognised board with not less than 45% of marks at 10+2 level.
  
• In case of SC/ST candidates the percentage to secure is 40% of marks in aggregate. Even final year students can also appear for this exam.
  
• The minimum age limit for General and OBC candidates is 20 years. For SC and ST candidates and PWD candidates the upper age limit is 22 years old.

Post Graduate Course:-

• To be eligible to sit for the CLAT exam you need to have obtained a LL.B/B.L. degree or an equivalent degree from a recognized university with not less than 55% marks in aggregate.
  
• For the SC/ST students the percentage to acquire is 50% of marks in aggregate. If you are appearing or have appeared in the qualifying degree examination and are awaiting results then also you are eligible to appear in the test.
  
• On the date of your admission, however, you must have passed/appeared the the final semester/final year examination of the qualifying examination. You will be given provisional admission and within a time limit you will be asked to submit the final results of qualifying examination.

CLAT Question paper

CLAT Stands for the Common Law Admission Test which is conducted by the 14 National Law Universities every year for both the LLB and LLM Degree....

A candidate who have completed their 12th in any field from Recognized Board Exam can apply for this exam....

A candidate must have secure at least 55% in their academic career....

Age of candidate should not exist 20 years...

Relaxation are provided as per Government Rule both for Percentages Criteria and Age....
