Re: How to gain admission in medical college?
To get admission for the MBBS course you would have to start preparing early. What I mean is start taking coaching classes as early as 11th standard if you really want to clear the medical entrance exam.
Because of large number of participants, MBBS entrance exams are very difficult to crack. Not to mention that MBBS entrance exams are also very difficult. Although things would change from next year since a new entrace exam would replace the all existing. Therefore I first step would be to start preparing as early as possible. Like I mentioned 11 standard is ideal to start preparations. You can also prepare on your own but I would not recommend that, its better to take admission in a coaching centre. But before you do that. Now I am sure you must have heard about the popular medical entrance exams like: AIPMT AFMC Entrance Exam DUMET JIPMER But there is no point preparing for them because all of them would get replaced by a new entrance exam from next year onwards. It would not matter whether you seek admission in private college or the government college, the admission would be given on the basis of candidate's performance in National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (Neet) entrance exam. Apart from NEET the only other entrance exam you can prepare for is AIIMS entrance exam. The reason being that to make AIIMS accept NEET exam, a parliamentary amendment is required. Now to answer your other question, there is no way to tell how much rank would be good enough to get admission. It is because NEET would be conducted for the first time in 2013 therefore it is hard to tell that. What you can do is prepare as hard as you can. It would be very difficult to find any relevant material for NEET therefore coaching centres are the best option to prepare. Make sure that your coaching centre can prepare you for the NEET entrance exam. Don't bother preparing for the AIPMT because like I mentioned earlier, it has been scrapped. To be prepared well for the medical exam, I would urge you to follow all the news related to the NEET exam. Since its a new exam there aren't many details about syllabus and exam pattern. By monitoring any development related to NEET you can get more information which would be very valuable. |

For admission in top college you have to qualify the entrance exam conducted at national and state level. Some top exam are like:- > A.I.I.M.S > A.I.P.M.T > A.F.M.C > J.I.PM.E.R > B.H.U-P.M.T > A.M.U-P.M.T > Sate-P.M.T > I.P-C.E.T etc GOOD LUCK! |
