Re: How to get admission for 2nd year of B.Tech after completion of 1st year of B.Sc course?
There is no direct way to take a admission in B.Tech 2nd year without studying in B.Tech 1st year. Direct admission takes place only in same institute if you are academically very good.
So, for taking admission in B.tech second year you have to study 1st year in the same college. Good Luck |

You can not get admission like this. What you are referring to is lateral entry which is not granted until you have completed B.Sc course. You will have to complete B.Sc course to apply for lateral entry in Engineering.
Therefore my advice to you is complete the Bachelor of Science course. Once you have completed it then only you can apply for Engineering. The lateral entry for Engineering is only available for candidates who have either completed diploma in Engineering or Bachelor of Science course. Engineering colleges in India reserve some seats for the lateral entry scheme. Although IITs do not participate in this scheme most of the other colleges do. They reserve somewhere around 10 to 20 percent seats for the lateral entry candidates. The criteria of giving adimission is different. Some colleges give admission purely on the merit. If you meet their percentage requirement then you will be granted admission. Generally colleges would seek 60 percent marks in B.Sc. Although some would even offer admission if scored 50 percent marks. The other way to get admission is by appearing for entrance exam. The most common entrance exam for lateral entry is LEET. You can either appear for this entrance exam on some other exam. Some universities prefer to conduct their own entrance exam to grant admission via lateral entry. |
