bca is a 3 year graduation course where student learns about various facets of computer application.

its a technical degree course which is equivalent to b.tech ( computer science )

ELIGIBILITY

1. must have passed 12th from any recognized board of india with 50 % marks

2. some colleges also asks for maths / business maths in 12th.

3. candidate must be of minimum 17 yrs old , maximum age varies to 22 yrs or 25 yrs.

Bachelor of Computer Applications orBCA is a three year degree course taught in several institutes and universities across India. A typical BCA course deals with software design and data base management and working with multiple data in the computer. BCA deals with subjects like C, C languages, Data Base Management, Logical Analysis, Operating Systems, Software Engineering and Client Server Technology.
Scope : A BCA program is the first important step for higher studies especially MCA. It prepares a student for IT and other professions either directly related or after higher studies. BCA provides a student with the much needed exposure of Computer Language applications andprepares a student for a Masters program in Computer Applications (MCA).
Eligibility: A student from any stream can apply for a BCA course provided he or she has Mathematics and English at the 10 2 level with an average of 50% marks.

Candidates wishing to pursue BCA should have studied Maths in 12th standard. It should be from a recognised board. So you will be eligible only if you have studied maths along with the commerce subjects. Also you may have to appear for an entrance exam. You need to check for the same with universities near you.

To study BCA, one should pass 10( 2)with maths, physics,chemistry as main subjects. And he/she should getat least 50% marks in 12th.
