You can go to Indian Army through Combined Defence Services Examination (CDSE).

While applying for CDSE you can opt for
Indian Military Academy and/or Officers Training Academy.

After completing the training from IMA or OTA, you will be absorbed in Indian Army.
The joining through OTA is under Short Service Commission and the
joining through IMA is under Permanent Commission.

You should check the advertisement of upcoming CDSE for your eligibility (AGE)
because the age limit for Indian Military Academy is 19-24 years and
the age limit for Officers Training Academy is 19-25 years.

The CDSE is conducted by UPSC twice a year.

you can join army by applyin for CDS exam
it is conducted by UPSC twice an yr
you should have 60%throughout your carrier to apply for it
and should have phy and math in your 10+2 as your compulsory subjects
your age shouldn't be more than 25yrs or less than 20 yrs

hello!!

generally a candidate can get into INDIAN ARMY by two ways.the given belopw exams are conducted twice every year by thye Union public service commission(UPSC)


you can get into INDIAN ARMY by two ways

1. NDA

• Held twice a year

• for NON GRADUATES

• age=16.5 to 19

hence you canot apply for this since you are aged 23 years

2.CDSE(Combined defence service exams)

• also held twice a year

• for GRADUATES

• age=21 to 25 years

hence you can apply!!!

CDSE selection process is of 3 stages:


1. Written Exam (conduct by UPSC)
2. SSB Interview ( CONDUCT by Services Selection Board).
3. Medical Test (conduct by SMB)

if you clear 1st stage you will get to 2nd stage.
if you will clear the 1 and 2nd stage you will be called for interview.

Hi Friend,

You can join Army after B.Com.
one can join Army with NDA and CDS exams.
but for you your age has crossed the limit given for NDA exam.
now you can only write CDS exam.

CDS Combined Defence Service Exam

Education Qualification
Candidate applying for the Combined defence service examination
should be graduate in any discipline from the recognized university.
Those appeared in the final year examination are also eligible to apply for this examination.
For the Indian Air force and Navy candidate should have physics and maths at 10+2 level.

Age Limit
Indian Military Academy 19-24 Years
Air Force Academy 19-23 Years
Naval Academy 19-22 Years
Officer Training Academy 19-25 Years

Exam Pattern
English 100 marks
General Knowledge 100 Marks
Elementary Mathematics 100 Marks
Total 300 marks

Candidates applying for the OTA only have 2 papers that is of english and general knowledge.
