how many times a student can appear for AIPMT exam? for general category and reserved category? please reply

as per the rule you may be eligible to write for aipmt up to 3 times that is one time in twelfth and after that two more turns .

As per AIPMT , 2011 notification "The number of attempts which a candidate can avail at All India Pre-Medical/Pre- Dental Entrance Examination shall be limited to 3 (three) uniformly for all the candidates."

It means irrespective of the category to which a candidate belong, he will be allowed to write the AIPMT exam only 3 times.

from session 2011-2012 i.e from this year AIPMT has removed attempt limit for the candidates.Only age limit is present from this session onward

AIPMT is a major exam which is infact an medical entrance examination.



According to the guidelines of AIPMT-2011 , the maximum number of possible

attempts one can use is 3 times only.

•There is no relaxation for any category students.

•Only 3 attempts are allowed. 1 when you are in class 12th(appearing in board) and other two .

A candidate applying for AIPMT must have passed in the subjects of Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Bio-technology and English individually and must have obtained a minimum of 50%
marks taken together in Physics, Chemistry and Biology/ Bio-technology at the qualifying examination.

you can attempt PMT for 3 times that too within age limit and that is
the minimum age is 17 years but maximum age limit is 25 years.

There is no relaxation for number of attempts..

There Are 3 Attempts Allowed In All India Pre-Medical / Pre-Dental Entrance Examination For All The Candidates.

You can make attempt for about 3 times as in aieee .both are conducted by cbse .1st attempt is when you give your boards.and other 2 are succesively give one after another.

As per AIPMT eligiblity, the student can apply 3 times for the examination whether he/she is of Genral catagory or Reserved catagory.

However there is certain cut-off relaxation provided to reserved catagory candidates.

AIPMT Eligibility Criteria
(i) He/She has completed age of 17 years at the time of admission or will complete the age on or before 31st December of the year of his/her admission to the 1st year MBBS/BDS Course and is an INDIAN NATIONAL.

(ii) The upper age limit for All India Pre-Medical /Pre-Dental Entrance Examination is 25 years as on 31st December of the year of the entrance examination. Further provided that this upper age limit shall be relaxed by a period of 5 (five) years for the candidates of Scheduled Castes/Scheduled Tribes/Other Backward Classes.

Candidate must born between -

(a) 31.12.80 to 31.12.93 (SC/ST/OBC Category)
(b) 31.12.85 to 31.12.93 (Other Category)

(iii) The number of attempts which a candidate can avail at All India Pre-Medical/Pre-Dental Entrance Examination shall be limited to 3 (three) uniformly for all the candidates.

(iv) Students from the States of Andhra Pradesh/J&K are not eligible, as both these States had opted out of All India Scheme since its inception. If they claim eligibility they must submit an affidavit, in original, in the Proforma on Rs 10/- Non-Judicial Stamp Paper duly sworn before and attested by a Metropolitan Magistrate/First Class Judicial Magistrate to the effect that:-

a) They are not eligible to compete for MBBS/BDS seats in the States of Andhra Pradesh/J&K and hence not eligible to seek admission in Medical/Dental Colleges of Andhra Pradesh/J&K.

and

b) They are not domiciled in Andhra Pradesh/J&K.

Dear the maximum number of attempts for AIPMT exam is three(3).

Hello friend,

The minimum educational qualification required to be eligible for AIPMT exam is +2 with a minimum of 50% in Physics, Chemistry and Biology taken together for general candidate and 40% for others.
The minimum eligible age is 17 years and the maximum age limit is 25 years for general candidates and 30 years for others.
Candidates belonging to any category can appear only for a maximum of 3 attempts.
