How many curriculum years studying outside India makes you a NRI Student?
My son will be taking admission in current curriculum 2019-2020 in grade 8. In which grade should he return back to India to be considered in normal local QUOTA for admission in Mumbai? I read it somewhere that minimum of 5 curriculum years studied outside INDIA makes you eligible to be in NRI QUOTA back home when you seek admission for further studies. Kindly advise and also let me know if any Indian law reference can be made handy. Many thanks.

Re: How many curriculum years studying outside India makes you a NRI Student?
A student who has studied 5 years including 11th and 12th in abroad then he is also called NRI student. If the Student studies till 10th in abroad and studies his 11th and 12th in India, then also he is not eligible for entrance exams under normal category.
